Ohio Regional Music Arts and Cultural Outreach (ORMACO) presents internationally acclaimed Mo’ Mojo, a hard driving, high energy “Pardi-Gras” band on Saturday, September 29 at 8pm at Wadsworth High School in the James R. McIlvaine Performing Arts Center, 625, Broad Street, Wadsworth, Ohio.

Female fronted, the ensemble features three-part harmonies, accordion, fiddle, guitar, rubboard, sax, trumpet, harp, bass, percussion, and drums. The group performs in English and French. Mo’ Mojo takes Zydeco music and infuses it with Blues, Americana, Cajun, reggae, rock & roll, funk, R&B, and African and Latin rhythms.

Dancers are invited to come early for a Zydeco dance lesson on stage with the band beginning at 6:45 pm and ending at 7:30 pm.

Band members include:

Jen Maurer – vocals, diatonic accordion, guitar

Leigh Ann Wise – vocals, rubboard, trumpet, percussion

Anthony Papaleo – vocals, fiddle, guitar

Joe Golden – guitar, talk box

Darren Thompson – bass

Will Douglas – drums

Tickets are $20 in advance and are available online at (credit card processing fee applies), by calling 330-722-2541 or at all Medina County Buehler’s stores beginning August 27. Tickets will be $25 at the door (cash or checks only). A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Wadsworth Alumni Scholarship Fund.
