Ohio Regional Music Arts and Cultural Outreach (ORMACO) presents Cleveland-based jazz vocalist Laura Varcho in a program of songs from the American Songbook on Sunday, October 14, 2 pm at the Wadsworth Public Library, 132 Broad St.
Laura Varcho is a dynamic and accomplished vocalist and entertainer whose audiences are moved by her ability to convey the deepest, most personal emotions as she weaves her way through her riveting live sets. Her repertoire consists of carefully selected jazz, pop and blues tunes, which she delivers with her trademark interpretive brilliance. In a concert setting, Miss Varcho puts on a high energy show, captivating her audience with her charismatic stage presence.

About the artist:
Laura Varcho has been a featured artist at the Columbus, Youngstown, and Toledo Jazz Festivals and has opened for several national acts, including Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Boney James, Kenny Rankin and Kim Waters. She is a concert headliner at Night Town, one of the top jazz clubs in the world.
Varcho appeared for nearly a decade in Tri-C Jazzfest Cleveland’s “Women in Jazz” series, and headlined concerts at Cleveland State University’s Sundown Jazz series and Cain Park’s Jazz in the Afternoon series. She has appeared on television and radio as both a featured performer and commercial actress.
Most recently, Varcho has crafted her talent, knowledge and expertise into an acclaimed musical lecture series she has presented at colleges throughout the area.
