Ohio Regional Music Arts and Cultural Outreach (ORMACO) presents Wadsworth-based Perfect Girl. The three-piece ensemble, consisting of Tony Batey on vocals, bass, and saxophone, Sam Holik on guitar, and Jake Ross on drums, have been playing at numerous venues in the Northeast Ohio area over the past several months, and are close to completing work on their first studio album. While their music tends to be of a rock variety, each song incorporates a number of different contemporary influences, ranging from the cool jazz and bebop of the early Cold War era to British pop and rock music from the latter half of the 20th Century all the way to modern day hip-hop and R&B. The band will take you through a large portion of their original material, discussing the influences going into each song and tracing the history of these influences. For anyone who appreciates contemporary music from many eras and has diverse and eclectic taste, this event is sure to please.
Admission: Free. To guarantee seats, call 330-334-5761 to reserve as these programs tend to fill up quickly.
